TEMECULA – The International Association of Marble Collectors will hold their annual conference and trade show in Las Vegas, Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Plaza Hotel. The show, now in its 13th year, is one of the largest marble shows in the United States. Marble collectors from all over the world will gather that day to buy, trade and sell antique and contemporary marbles.

One of the show’s exhibitors this year will be Carl Fisher of Temecula. In addition to his own contemporary designs, Fisher makes antique marble replicas out of polymer clay and sells the vintage counterparts to collectors who can’t find or afford the real thing. Although lighter in weight than real glass marbles, the polymer clay replicas are extremely durable will not break, chip or scratch, and they can be easily carried in the pocket without fear of damage.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and admission is free. The Plaza Hotel is located at 1 South Main Street, in Las Vegas. For those needing hotel accommodations, contact the Plaza Hotel at (800) 634-6575.
