Moreno Valley: Police arrest three for suspicion of drunken driving

Three motorists were arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and 17 citations were issued for vehicle code violations during an overnight sobriety/driver’s license checkpoint in Moreno Valley, a police sergeant said today.

Moreno Valley police Sgt. Bill Guimont said 28 drivers were cited or arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or while on a suspended or revoked license during the checkpoint on Perris Boulevard and Bay Avenue that began at 9 p.m. Friday and ended today at 3 a.m.

Six field sobriety tests were also conducted during the checkpoint, Guimont said.
