TEMECULA – Hobby Lobby Stores, a privately held national retail chain of arts and crafts stores, is getting ready to open its doors in Modesto, Merced, Rancho Cucamonga, and Temecula. Construction is under way at all four locations, with scheduled openings throughout October. Hobby Lobby hopes to hire about 35 – 40 employees at each location, paying $12 per hour for full time, and $8.50 per hour for part-time associates. Dates, times, and locations, and where employment applications will be accepted, will be posted on the company’s website, and in the local newspaper’s employment section.
“The reception we have received from community leaders from the time of our first announcement to now has been nothing short of enthusiastic,” stated John Schumacher, Assistant Vice President of Advertising.
He added, “A Hobby Lobby store at each of these locations contributes to increased foot traffic, generates sales tax, and provides a much-needed shopping variety with exceptional selection and value, all while beautifying an otherwise depreciated facility.
