Imagine a peanut butter sandwich without jelly, Fred Astaire without Ginger Rogers or tennis shoes without laces. Sounds pretty gloomy, pretty hopeless and pretty darn near impossible.
And that’s exactly how Reality Rally would be without their sponsors.
Reality Rally is approaching its seventh year, which is a milestone to celebrate and a reminder of the proper credit due. Though it seems like Reality Rally 2016 was just a few short months ago, here they are again, thanking the hundreds of individuals, businesses and organizations that so generously support the unique fundraiser every year.
Reality Rally runs almost entirely on sponsors, from the venues to products and showcased talents; just about everything visitors saw, ate, or touched at the event was provided for free by a sponsor. The sponsors have been coming on board for six years to make Reality Rally … well, Reality Rally. Without them, the event and the amazing benefits it provides to women undergoing breast cancer would cease to exist. It’s that simple.
Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula is one such sponsor, providing the gorgeous venue for the Friday evening reception. Jeff Litrell, event manager at Wilson Creek, shared a few thoughts about Reality Rally.
“Wilson Creek is a very philanthropic family owned business,” Litrell said. “This fits rights in with kind of our core values. Our overall mission for Wilson Creek is to enhance lives. Michelle’s Place is a very worthy cause. And it’s a lot of fun too, for the owners as well as the staff.”
Fazeli Cellars Winery in Temecula, one of the newest sponsors, will be providing the venue for the Celebrity Chef Showcase planned for April 8.
“We are so excited to be a part of Temecula’s premier charity events,” Romy Fazeli Alahmari, whose family owns the winery, said. “When we were first approached, we jumped at the opportunity to get involved since our family has been devastated more than once by this dreadful disease. We are looking forward to April 8, and will do everything to make sure it is a fun and successful event.”
Yet another wonderful and generous sponsor is the city of Temecula, which enthusiastically supports Reality Rally by allowing the event to take over Old Town on a Saturday for the famous race.
“The city of Temecula loves the Reality Rally, because the Rally loves Temecula,” Mayor Maryann Edwards said. “Gillian Larson, Reality Rally founder, and her devoted crew work tirelessly for an entire year to put together an international event that promotes Temecula worldwide as the beautiful, vibrant and welcoming city we all know and love. Reality Rally helps Michelle’s Place make better health a reality for Temecula Valley women. It’s a WIN-WIN-WIN!”
There are many, many more sponsors beyond those whose comments are included here. All of them made the event complete, and Reality Rally expressed their deep gratitude:
“Dear Sponsors, words will never be enough to summarize the work, time and money you pour into our event each and every year. Because of you, Reality Rally is known all over the world as a stellar, entertaining, unforgettable, life-changing event impacting the women and families at Michelle’s Place who most need our support and love. Gillian and all of us here at Reality Rally want to express to you how much we appreciate – really, really, really appreciate – what our sponsors give us, do with us and do for us. So, to all who contribute to this wonderful cause: Thank you!”
