Lisa Poper of Temecula took Best of Division in the Canned Vegetables division of the San Diego County Fair’s Preserved Food and Liqueur competition.
Poper also won first place in the Tomatoes class for that entry which included a mix of organic roma, cherry, and heirloom tomatoes.
Poper received second place for both of her entries in the Other Soft Spreads division. She entered her organic strawberries, lemons, limes, and navel oranges in the Conserve class and submitted a jar of organic watermelon rinds and lemons in the Marmalade category.
In the Mixed Relish class of the Relishes and Sauces division Poper was given second place for her organic zucchini squash with a hint of red and green peppers.
