TEMECULA – 6 Kids and 6 Packs, a Temecula-based fitness company, is hosting a workshop at the Temecula Public Library (30600 Pauba Road) on Jan. 26, from 2 to 5 p.m. The workshop is designed to help men and women understand how to make their body stronger on the inside through nutrition and exercise and make their body safer on the outside by learning strategies to avoid and survive violent encounters.
The workshop borrows its name from the keynote speaker, Sanford Strong. Strong is a retired San Diego Police sergeant and an expert on avoiding and surviving violent attacks. Strong became an international speaker and has written two books on this subject. Strong has made four appearances on the Oprah Winfrey Show and is credited with saving the life of an audience member who saw him speak and remembered the lessons he taught. Strong also co-hosted the TV show “America’s Most Wanted” as a special feature in their America Fights Back series.
The second speaker in the workshop is David Cramar, “The Temecula Wheatgrass Man.” The Wheatgrass Man is currently writing a book titled Whiskey to Wheatgrass, which outlines his journey from near death as a hard drinking, bad eating, high stress bar manager to living a vibrant and healthy life fueled by good nutrition through organic foods and the benefits of wheatgrass.
The ladies from 6 Kids and 6 Packs will wrap up the workshop by providing recipes, ideas to make exercise fun for the whole family, and tips for healthy living.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by visiting www.6kidsand6packs.com. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit S.A.F.E. For more information, visit
