11-Year-Old Boy Bitten by Pit Bull

WINCHESTER – An 11-year-old boy was bitten on the mouth by a pit bull today in Winchester, according to a news report.

The Riverside County Department of Animal Services reported that the apparently unprovoked attack happened at 4 p.m. at a house on Stuber Street, where the victim was playing with friends, according to the Riverside Press- Enterprise.

The boy suffered a severe injury to his lower lip despite attempts to fend the dog off with a pool cue, the newspaper reported.

The 2-year-old female dog, which was not fixed, was turned over to authorities to be put down, according to The Press-Enterprise.

Well as expected we received our weekly Pit Bull news update, same old story to disgrace the breed yet well deserved. I wonder if any other breed of dog out of the hundred of thousands in Riverside County bit anyone this week. It just makes me wonder if it would be news worthy say if a Chihuahua or Beagle took a snipe at someone’s nose or face. I’m sure it happens daily.

Pit Bulls are vicious dogs that were breed to kill. If you have one in your neighborhood, no matter how loving it may seem, you and your family are at great risk.

Wow! A boy was bit by a pit bull! Now, let’s be sure to add all the updates about all the other individuals who were bit this weekend by other dogs, too! I’ve been bit by a dog, a black lab. He was a family dog, very sweet. But I made it nervous trying to have a staring contest with it when I was little! So he bit my arm! I lived! He was still sweet! Dogs can bite, doesn’t make them viscious! An owner can raise ANY dog to be viscious, not just pit bulls. This targeting is stupid! Add all the facts! If you’re going to waste space with an article about dog bites, take a survey, so you get all the facts, all the breeds, all the bites, THEN write something. An 11 year old boy got bit. We all know darn well the dog was provoked. I have two sons, I don’t even have to be there to know what that boy and his friends were probably doing. But whatever makes a story, right. I’m not a dog owner, I don’t need to be to know when something is wrong and right. This whole ‘pit bulls are dangerous’ crap is just that, crap!
