Motorcyclist killed in Hemet crash

HEMET (CNS) – A motorcycle veered off state Route 74 and rolled down a hillside in the Hemet area, fatally injuring its rider, the California Highway Patrol reported Wednesday, July 27.

The crash took place about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on eastbound SR 74 near Bee Canyon Truck Trail, close to mile marker 49, according to the CHP.

The rider died at the scene, according to the CHP, which released no information on victim pending family notification. No other injuries were reported.

The crash was being investigated by officers from the CHP’s Indio office.
