TEMECULA – The Miss County of Riverside Scholarship Pageant recently crowned eight new titleholders who will serve the communities of Riverside County for the ensuing year.
The pageant, conducted annually by Southwest California Pageants, is open to girls and unmarried women from 3 to 21-years-of-age, who reside in Riverside County.
Alexa Feddema of Temecula, was crowned Miss County of Riverside. Joining her on the 2014 County of Riverside Court are Teen Miss Amanda Steward of Hemet, Jr. Teen Miss Alaysa Silvano of Murrieta, and PreTeen Miss Lilah Vener of Temecula.
This year’s pageant was held at historic Civic Center Theatre in Corona on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013. The evening pageant began with an opening dance number performed by the contestants. The 18 contestants participated in sportswear and evening gown competition, followed by an on-stage question. That, in addition to the
personal interviews conducted earlier in the day, determined who would be selected as County of Riverside Queens for the ensuing year.
Earlier in the day, the children’s pageant crowned an additional four queens, including Junior Miss Kirsten Butry of Temecula, Little Miss Lauren Tammaro of Wildomar, Pixie Miss Miley Meza of Lake Elsinore, and Petite Miss Lily Vinzant of Murrieta.
During their reign the new County of Riverside court will be attending numerous community functions, Chamber of Commerce mixers, grand openings, parades and many philanthropic and charitable functions.
