The California Highway Patrol will be conducting a sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint on Friday, Jan. 12, somewhere in unincorporated Southwest Riverside County, officials announced.
Motorists approaching the checkpoint will see signs telling them that one is ahead, according to a CHP news release from Officer Mike Lassig.
The release notes that, traffic volume permitting, all vehicles will be checked.
“The CHP would like to remind all motorists to not drink and drive. DUI’s are 100% avoidable,” the release says. “It’s simple; if you’re going to drink, don’t drive. Designate a sober driver and get to your destination safely.”
