City of Temecula recognizes global business PHS/MWA Aviation Services

TEMECULA– At their August 6 hearing, the City of Temecula Planning Commission recognized local business and world class aircraft repair provider, PHS/MWA Aviation Services for their creative innovation in engineering of replacement parts and repair practices.

Each month, the Temecula Planning Commission spotlights a local company that has made an economic impact on the community, and in PHS/MWA’s case,

the world. PHS/MWA Aviation Services is an FAA Certified Repair Station providing high quality repair and overhaul services to more than 60 major Airlines throughout the world. Established in 1967 by the Bale Family, PHS/MWA has continued to evolve and grow as a company by developing specialized technical services and support to the Global Aviation Community.

The company is driven by creative innovation lead by engineering practices focusing on various areas of Aircraft Component Repair including complex flight control actuators and electronics to galley equipment like ovens and coffee makers. PHS/MWA relocated from Orange County to Temecula in 1989 with less than 10 employees operating in a small 1000 square foot facility.

In 1993, the Bale Family opened a separate operating facility in Santa Maria, California to focus on expanded products and services. With expansive growth as a corporate entity, the Bale Family envisioned an intercompany merger bringing all products, services, resources, and personnel together to become one single operating center. In 2011, with support from the City of Temecula, both divisions became one and accomplished just that.

“PHS/MWA Aviation is a growing, innovative company and is a welcomed addition to the City’s robust business park” said Christine Damko, Economic Development Analyst with the City of Temecula.

From 2011 to 2014, PHS/MWA has added approximately 70 new positions. They currently employ roughly 160 people operating in a recently expanded 100,000 square foot facility. With continued opportunities present, PHS/MWA anticipates ongoing growth and expansion for years to come.
