RIVERSIDE – Just under 1,000 Southern California Edison customers remained without power this afternoon in Riverside County.
According to SCE, electricity had been restored to roughly 500 customers since 8 a.m.
Outages were ongoing in areas of Hemet, Homeland, Idyllwild, Moreno Valley and Sage. According to SCE, wind-related damage to transmission lines was responsible for most of the power disruptions, which began Wednesday.
“SCE personnel, including restoration and repair crews, are responding to outages, with a priority of restoring service to the most heavily impacted customers that have been without power the longest,” said Steve Conroy, SCE director of corporate communications.
Power was expected to be fully restored to all affected customers by tonight, according to SCE.
SCE customers can report outages and seek updates by calling (800) 611- 1911.
