Fire damages home in Jurupa Valley, leaves family of seven homeless

A family of seven was left homeless early today during a fire that damaged a Jurupa Valley home.

Dispatchers received a 911 call at 4:37 a.m. from the 5700 block of Kenwood Place, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

No one was seriously hurt, although a woman suffered minor inhalation during the blaze. She was taken to a hospital for treatment, Hendrickson said.

Firefighters contained the fire about an hour after it was reported. The family of four adults and three children were displaced but did not require assistance, Hendrickson said.
