Flames charred the second-story apartment of a Moreno Valley family of three and left them homeless, a spokeswoman said today.
Firefighters were dispatched at 10:34 p.m. Friday to the 15600 block of Lasselle Street. They contained the blaze to the apartment unit, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann said.
No one was hurt during the fire. The American Red Cross helped an adult and two children find temporary shelter, Hagemann said.
