FRENCH VALLEY – A toddler was rescued from a residential swimming pool in French Valley, where he was submerged for an unknown period of time.
The near-drowning was reported about 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 2, in the 27200 block of Cresta Del Norte, just off Sierra Madre Drive, a Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman said.
She said the boy, whose name was not released, fell into the backyard pool and was found by residents, who pulled him to safety.
Paramedics arrived a short time later and provided treatment at the scene. It was unclear whether the child was unconscious or alert when he was taken out of the water.
The toddler was transported in stable condition to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, according to the fire department.
