Gasoline prices continue to drop for the fourth consecutive day in the Inland Empire. According to the Automobile Club of Southern California, the average price of a gallon of self-regular gasoline dropped nine-tenths of a cent today to $4.116 one day after decreasing 1.1 cents.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is three cents less than one week ago but close to ten cents higher than a year ago.
The average price has dropped four consecutive days after 11 increases in two weeks pushing the average price to its highest amount since May 19.
The dropping pump prices are the result of a sharp decrease in the wholesale price, indicating a sufficient supply, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
