Lake Elsinore man arrested for possession of stolen property, evading arrest

A Lake Elsinore man is behind bars today facing charges of possession of stolen property and evading arrest.

Che Smith, 27, was arrested Thursday Sept. 7, in the 32000 block of Clinton Keith Road in Wildomar.

A warrant for Smith’s arrest had been issued for the alleged crimes.

Officers responded to the business after receiving a tip that Smith would be at the location, according to a press release issued by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

“Smith arrived at the location and was taken into custody, exiting his vehicle, without incident,” the release reported.

Smith was booked at the Cois Bryd Detention Center, where he remains in custody in lieu of $100,000 bail.
