LifeStream blood bank has three upcoming blood donation events in Southwest Riverside County and is asking for volunteers to give.
The blood drives will be taking place at the following times and places:
From 2-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Temecula Lanes, 27475 Jefferson Avenue, Temecula;
From 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31 at Sparkman Alternative Education Center of Rancho Vista High School, 32225 Pio Pico Road, Temecula;
From 7:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 38980 Sky Canyon Road, Murrieta.
Donors will be eligible for a free cholesterol screening and Gift of Life Donor Loyalty points, which can be applied toward such prizes as giftcards, hoodies, license plate holders and keychains at the online donor store.
To be eligible to donate blood, donors should be free of infections or illness, weigh at least 110 pounds and not be at risk for such conditions as AIDS or hepatitis. Healthy people as young as 15 may donate, but anyone younger than 18 must give LifeStream written parental consent.
