Man Robs Temecula Credit Union, Remains at Large

A man who robbed a Temecula credit union remains at large today.

The robbery occurred around 3:10 p.m. Thursday at a San Diego County Credit Union branch in the 29000 block of Overland Drive, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The suspect approached a teller and demanded money, simulating a pistol underneath his clothes, said sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Fredericks.

The teller complied, handing over a wad of bills, at which point the suspect fled the location, escaping on foot before deputies could get there. The bandit was possibly disguised, wearing what appeared to be a wig, Fredericks said, adding that the man was white and about 6 feet tall.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s Temecula station at (951) 696-3000.

Opening an account at @SDCCU was the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. Their online system doesn’t work, their customer service was inept and they left me feeling frustrated and any enough that I’ll stay with my regular bank for now- at least their website works. #badservice
