Moreno Valley: Fire chars two story residence, leaves family homeless

Fire charred a two-story home in Moreno Valley today and left a family of three homeless.

Dispatchers received a 911 call at 6:16 a.m. and sent firefighters to the 26200 block of Oshua Drive. Flames were seen outside the home, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

Firefighters managed to contain the fire to a room within 15 minutes. American Red Cross members were called and helped the two adults and teenage girl, Hendrickson said.

A cause was under investigation and no injuries were reported.
