This was the second death of a motorcyclist in the same day on this road (Reche Canyon/Reche Vista)…People need to slow down. Other fatalities occur because of speed! Meeting a burro or another driver of a car, truck, or motorcycle who has entered the oncoming traffic’s lane to pass someone the driver feels is going too slow often means an accident, all too often a fatality. This may be one of the deadliest roads in Riverside County/San Bernardino County. I saw the second accident as I was going to San Bernardino from Moreno Valley and the woman performing CPR before the emergency services arrived. It is a scene no one who saw it will forget. The cycle was under the driver’s side of the car.

SLOW DOWN, the life you save may be yours. I often am passed only to remain behind the person all the way to the stoplight at Barton or Reche Vista; sometimes the driver may be two or three cars ahead of me, but we end up at the same place just a second apart. DON’T ACT STUPIDLY. STAY SMART; STAY SAFE; STAY ALIVE!
