Motorcyclist dies in crash in Hemet

A motorcyclist died in a Hemet crash, police said in a statement today.

Paramedics and police were called to the 3800 block of West Devonshire Avenue at 8:21 p.m. Saturday, the statement said.

They found the motorcyclist lying in the middle of the roadway unresponsive, according to police. Lifesaving measures were attempted but not successful and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Devonshire Avenue was closed for two hours and 10 minutes while police investigated the accident, according to the official statement.

The name of the motorcyclist was withheld while relatives were notified, police said.
