New name, venue announced for annual Oak Grove benefit concert

MURRIETA – The musical extravaganza Rock the Oaks will benefit Oak Grove Center, a nonprofit organization helping at-risk youth, on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, and Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013. Formerly known as Temecula Live!, the event will take place at New Covenant Church.

With a new name and location, producers are also including additional music genres such as pop, rock, folk and blues. The side-splitting laughter from comedy acts sprinkled throughout the event, and a special performance showcasing the talent from the Oak Grove Center Performance Team, will remain the same.

Oak Grove Center Board Member and Co-President of GaS Productions Gwyn Sanborn is behind the spectacular event. Attendees can expect performances by local talent including The Brewer Boys, Hayley Stayner, Painted Daizies and Suzanne Harper from Talk Like June.

Event tickets are $10 for children, $15 for youth ages 11-18, and $20 for adults. Oak Grove Center is also accepting donations of $15 to send their students to enjoy the show. Sponsorship information and tickets can be found by visiting OakGroveCenter.org.
