One drunken driver arrested, nine vehicles towed during San Jacinto sobriety checkpoint

A motorist was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and nine vehicles were towed during an overnight driver’s license/sobriety checkpoint in San Jacinto, a police sergeant said today.

One felony warrant was served and 21 unlicensed drivers were sent to court during the checkpoint at State Street and De Anza Drive that began at 7 p.m. Saturday and ended today at 3 a.m., said San Jacinto police Sgt. Robert Himmelberg.

Himmelberg said 710 vehicles passed through the checkpoint.
