Princess photo shoot brings businesses together, makes girls’ dreams come true

Six little girls in their favorite princess costumes anxiously sat at Tinkerbell’s feet to hear about her adventures in Neverland. The girls spent a dream day enjoying face-painting, story-telling, and even a magic show performed by the princesses. But this wasn’t a scene at Disneyland; it was a local event in Temecula provided by a collaboration of four diverse businesses – BLINKit Photography, Royal Entertainers, OsoZuri Couture and Briar Rose Winery.

The Gines –Mike and Stephanie Gines of BLINKit Photography in Menifee – decided to bring aspects of the LA photography community to the local level. The husband and wife duo specialize in lifestyle editorial photography, working largely with figures in the entertainment industry.

They recognized the immense local talent in Temecula, especially among young children, and decided to scout some young girls for a Disney princess photo shoot, featuring an adult princess from the San Diego-based Royal Entertainers, and hosted by the exclusive local private estate, Briar Rose Winery. They call their work “The Little Princesses Collection.”

Royal Entertainers is a princess party business that services Temecula. Brittany Skipper, the owner, was approached by the Gines to help make this dream a reality. Skipper has had photo sessions featuring princesses that act as entertainers at children’s birthday parties. She is a fan of the Gines’ work and the potential to collaborate with local businesses, getting some interesting editorial pictures for their advertising, and “giving the girls a fun day” was more than enough motivation for her to get on board.

“What really makes these pictures come to life is when you have this dream team of people, an awesome location, the best photographer, the princesses volunteering their time, and when you’re collaborating with other businesses you’re that much stronger as a team,” said Skipper.

“The event was so much fun for all the girls,” said Tanya London Miles, owner of OsoZuri Couture, who provided the princess costumes for the kids. “When I design a princess costume and see the little girls faces light up when they put them on and feel like real princesses, it’s priceless.”

Miles is a new designer and all her designs are handmade in the USA. She custom designs for local boutiques and is featured on Etsy.com.

At the end of the day, six young girls had the opportunity to spend the day as Little Princesses and be photographed with princesses Jasmine, Tinkerbell, and Belle.

“Our main goal is to bring awareness to Temecula, Murrieta, the Inland Empire, that we do have a lot of places to go and have fun with the family. We’re trying to create a community here,” says Mike Gines.

BLINKit plans to make this an annual event, at different locations, and find other people that would like to be involved in what he deems an “adventure.” The group intends to repeat this event again in the spring for local girls.
