Rancho Christian Schools made an announcement to the community during the school’s annual Vision Night on Monday, Jan. 27 that the school is ready to break ground on phase three of their expansion.
“We have full entitlements from the city, so we’re ready to go,” said President and Lead Pastor of Rancho Community Church Scott Treadway.
He anticipates a groundbreaking sometime next year.
Part of the expansion includes a multi-use gym, a new high school and middle school campus, four science labs and two art rooms.
There will also be elementary school enrichment facilities, meaning that there will be separate rooms for art, science, and band – they will not be flipped for each class as previously done.
“Our best years are ahead,” said Superintendent of Rancho Christian Schools Mike Johnson.
Each of the campuses will be technology infused.
“You cannot have a true education in the 21st century without graduating students who are absolutely proficient and responsible when it comes to technology,” Treadway said.
There will be a high school entrance on the south side of the building which will remove the chances of high school students crossing paths with elementary and middle school students.
Middle school students will also have their own entrance on the east side of the building.
Treadway explained this as a “total campus separation,” and the school is expected to nearly double in size.
“We want to do everything we can to make sure this campus is safe and positive,” he added.
