Reality Rally starts at noon today in Old Town Temecula

TEMECULA – Reality show enthusiasts will have a chance to test their skills today to see if they could make it on shows like ”Survivor” and ”The X-Factor,” as the 2012 Reality Rally gets under way in Old Town Temecula.

The high point of the weekend will be an ”Amazing Race” scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. today, during which competitors will try to navigate through a dozen challenges, culminating in a dash to the finish.

The hurdles test mental and physical ability but are mostly ”silly and fun,” organizers said

More than 90 winners of a variety of reality programs are slated to be on hand, including ”Survivor — Vanuatu” first-place finisher Chris Daugherty, last year’s ”Expedition Impossible” winner A.J. Gibson and ”Ingenious Minds” participant Derek Amato.

Proceeds from the rally benefit Michelle’s Place Breast Cancer Resource Center.

The event wraps up tomorrow with a ”Breakfast with the Stars,” giving participants an opportunity to mix and mingle with contestants from their favorite shows.
