Good morning, Southwest Riverside County. Here is your weekend news, traffic, and information update for Aug. 22-24. It is currently 69 degrees and hazy in Temecula this morning.
Traffic is heavy out of Temecula today, as several accidents are reported on the I-15 southbound causing slowing for commuters.
At just after 7:15 a.m., a silver Ford SUV and black Ford Ranger collided near the I-15 Checkpoint, ending in the center divider. Tow trucks are coming to the scene, and eight passengers are affected, and no injuries are reported at this time.

TEMECULA VALLEY WINE COUNTRY: An injury accident in Temecula Valley Wine Country was reported late Sunday, Aug. 23.
The head-on collision occurred in the wine country area east of Temecula, where both drivers were extracted from their respective vehicles by Cal Fire. According to reports on scene, one driver was airlifted by a Mercy Air helicopter.

TEMECULA: A Temecula teen was reported missing by her family on Aug. 22. Alexa Van Camp, possibly ran away at 12 p.m. More information will be updated as it arises.
PERRIS: In other area news, six people were injured in a midnight-hour two-car crash in Perris on Aug. 24. Cal Fire crews arrived at 12:41 a.m. at Limousin Street and Evans Road in Perris. More on this story as it develops.

To fill up, or not fill up, that is the question. According to area reports, the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside and San Bernardino counties fell today for the 36th time in 38 days, going down one cent to almost $3.63 cents. The price has dropped more than 57 cents in the past 38 days.
It will be mostly sunny this morning, becoming partly cloudy later in the day in the Coachella Valley and the Banning area. In the mountains there’s a 20-percent chance of rain.
Light winds are expected today and temperatures are on the rise.
According to the National Weather Service, local high temperature forecasts are 111 in Palm Springs, 109 in Thermal, 108 in Blythe. 107 in Indio and Desert Hot Springs, 98 in Riverside, Hemet, Moreno Valley and Lake Elsinore, 94 in Corona, 93 in Temecula, 87 in Idyllwild, and 76 on Mount San Jacinto.
Air quality today will be unhealthful for sensitive groups around Banning but in the moderate range everywhere else in Riverside County.
Possible rain is in the forecast for Tuesday, Aug. 25, according to the National Weather Service, San Diego.
