A trespassing suspect allegedly bolted from a sheriff’s deputy while getting patted down today in Riverside, prompting
authorities to set up a perimeter and his eventual arrest.
Deputies received a prowler call at 12:27 p.m. and went to the area of Agate Street and Chifney Lane. The suspect was found in the backyard of a home, Riverside County sheriff’s Deputy Armando Munoz said.
The deputies detained the suspect and were patting him down when he bolted and ran. A perimeter was set and a helicopter crew was called out, helping deputies to find and arrest the man.
The suspect’s name was not released, even though he was arrested for suspicion of trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia and another violation, Munoz said.
No injuries were reported.
