SAN JACINTO: Two attempt to steal ATM machine from local business

SAN JACINTO – Two masked men attempted to steal an automated teller machine early today at a San Jacinto business.

Officers responded at 12:48 a.m. to a report of a commercial burglary in the 100 block of South Sanderson Avenue, according to Sgt. Vance Stolte of the San Jacinto Police Department.

The two men, who were wearing ski masks and gloves, backed a box truck up to the front of the business, smashed the glass front doors for entry, Stolte said.

They tied a chain to the ATM and attempted to remove it from the business but were unsuccessful, Stolte said, and fled the business in the truck.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation was asked to contact the San Jacinto Police Department at (951) 654-2702.
