Sheriff’s Dept. announces DUI checkpoint in Moreno Valley for Friday night, Jan. 4

MORENO VALLEY – Sheriff’s deputies in Moreno Valley warned residents today that they will be looking for intoxicated drivers at a checkpoint Friday night, Janury 4.

Deputies plan to start screening drivers at an undisclosed location about 9:30 p.m. and work into the wee hours of Saturday, sheriff’s Lt. Lee Tainter said.

Motorists caught driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs can expect penalties that could include driver’s license suspension, jail time and expenses exceeding $10,000, sheriff’s officials said.
