The Wine Town Rollers (WTR)–Temecula Valley’s first roller derby league–will be hosting a ‘Battle of the Crown’ double header against San Diego Roller Derby (SDRD) on Saturday, September 12 at The Rinks on 4325 Prado Road in Corona, CA.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with WTR’s Grapes of Wrath taking on SDRD’s Bandettes at 5:30 p.m. and WTR’s Whine Makers playing SDRD’s Starlettes at 7 p.m.
Tickets at early bird prices of $10 are available for purchase on brownpapertickets.com, $12 at the door (cash only), $15 for VIP first row seating, and free for children 10 and under. The bout will include music, vendors, raffles, food, alcohol, and also entertainment featuring Marine Sandpiper.
Fans are encouraged to show their derby spirit by wearing their team’s apparel or colors for an exciting night supporting local roller derby.
WTR is devoted to the hard-hitting world of women’s flat-track roller derby and was recently accepted as an apprentice league for the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WTDA). The league is currently comprised of three home teams, the Winchester Rivals, Margarita Hot Sprints, the Hit Bosses and two travel team, the Grapes of Wrath and the Whine Makers.
