Three people injured in two-vehicle crash in Moreno Valley

Two vehicles smashed into each other at a Moreno Valley street corner early today, leaving three people injured.

Dispatchers received a call at 2:10 a.m. about the collision and sent firefighters to Iris Avenue and Nason Street.

Firefighters used cutting tools to free two people with major injuries from one of the mangled vehicles. Another person suffered moderate injuries and all three injured people were taken to a hospital, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

    Don’t know what caused this accident but, heading east on Iris to make a left turn onto Nason is precarious. The left turn arrow only stays green for 4 seconds and it’s a wide turn onto Nason. The Amber lite is on before completing the turn safely.
