Temecula DMV to close on March 21

The Temecula DMV is set to close its doors for six months to facilitate renovations, but there are still options available to individuals looking to get their vehicles registered or their licenses renewed.

According to an official notice on the Temecula DMV website, the office will be closed starting Friday, March 21 and is slated to re-open sometime in September of this year.

The notice encourages drivers who would normally visit the Temecula DMV to consider nearby options such as offices in Poway or Hemet.

A local business has also stepped up to process some of the things normally handled by the DMV during the time it’s closed.

SGB Insurance Services, a full service insurance agency in Wildomar, is offering to handle things like renewals, transfers, VIN verification, trip permits and other miscellaneous services.

The company will not provide driver’s license renewals, so those seeking to get their licenses renewed will want to go to one of the other area DMVs to get that

done.

SGB Insurance services is located at 21535 Palomar St, Wildomar, Calif. 92595. For more information about the company and the services they provide, visit their website at www.insuremesgb.com or give them a call at (951) 678-7650.

Couldn’t the DMV of Calif get their heads together and close at different times? Tried to get an appt at Escondido – closed – tried Temecula for a behind the wheel test – nope – Oceanside was available. El Cajon and Poway, the appointments are a month out.

**Go on line for your appointments – no waiting in lines.

There’s also In and Out registration on Mission Trail and Speedy registration on Railroad Canyon in Lake Elsinore.

Hope this includes parking. The DMV takes in huge amounts of cash on a daily basis. To close even a short time causes the public and the pocket book a pain. The Temecula DMV has a great group of people working amazingly hard in an overcrowded setting. Hats off to them.
