BLYTHE – Two people were airlifted to a hospital in serious condition after their car overturned on the freeway near Blythe Aug. 12.
The crash – reported at 10:44 a.m. – happened on westbound Interstate 10, east of Wiley’s Well Road, just west of Blythe.
The California Highway Patrol reported a car rolled onto its roof, stopping about 30 feet off of the freeway.
Two occupants in the car were airlifted from the scene with major injuries, said Jennifer Fuhrman of the Riverside County Fire Department.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
