Amazon is in the midst of a holiday hiring blitz in Moreno Valley, seeking to fill hundreds of seasonal positions to staff warehouses in the Inland Empire, with a recruitment drive going through Monday.
According to the e-tailing giant, an additional 3,000 workers are needed to year’s end, mostly for part-time employment at logistics facilities in Moreno Valley and San Bernardino.
Recruiters are conducting interviews until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Moreno Valley Conference & Recreation Center, located at 14075 Frederick St., where on-the-spot job offers are being made.
From Thursday through Monday, the Amazon recruiting office, located at 24208 San Michele Road, will be conducting daylong interviews with candidates, beginning at 9 a.m.
Company representatives said prospective hires should be prepared to present documents proving eligibility to work in the U.S.
Some seasonal employees may be asked to stay on in long-term positions, according to Amazon. The starting pay is $11.75 per hour.
The company has seven fulfillment centers in the inland region, employing more than 17,000 people. An eighth warehouse is under construction in Eastvale.
