MEAD VALLEY: Officials conducting homicide investigation after body found

MEAD VALLEY — Sheriff’s officials are conducting a homicide investigation after the body of a deceased man was found on a residential property Wednesday, July 12. The body was found in the 22000 block of Kinney Street, just east of Day Street, in Mead Valley.

Deputies from Riverside County Sheriff’s Perris Station responded to the location at 12:17 p.m., after emergency dispatchers received a 911 call reporting having found a deceased adult male at the property, Riverside Sheriff’s Sergeant Wallace Clear explained in a written press release after the initial investigation.

“Deputies arrived and were led to the body by the reporting party,” said Clear. “As deputies approached the scene, they saw evidence the adult male was the victim of a homicide.”

Based on the circumstances, Perris Station investigators and Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit investigators responded to the scene and assumed the investigation, which is still active and ongoing.

The victim’s identity is being withheld until his family is notified.
