MORENO VALLEY: Sobriety checkpoint nets 3 arrests

MORENO VALLEY – Three were arrested at an overnight driver’s license and sobriety checkpoint in Moreno Valley Sunday.

The checkpoint at Lasselle Street and Rojo Tierra began at 10 p.m. Saturday and ended at 3 a.m. Sunday, said Sgt. William Stens of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

During that time, two motorists were arrested for drunken driving and another motorist was arrested on suspicion of an undisclosed crime, Stens said.

Deputies also issued 10 citations during the checkpoint, he said. In total, 551 vehicles were screened.
