State Senator Jeff Stone (R-Riverside) will be honored by the Inland Empire Caucus as the Legislator of the Year at the organization’s 12th Annual Legislative Breakfast on Friday, February 5, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Ontario Airport.
The annual event brings together 150 Californians who provide service and support for individuals with disabilities throughout local communities. The Inland Empire Caucus is a regional caucus comprised of 12 organizations that work in collaboration with the California Disability Services Association, also known as CDSA.
For more than 40 years, CDSA has been the voice of developmental disability service providers in California and represents more than 14,000 professionals whose common purpose is to improve the lives and opportunities for people with disabilities.
According to the caucus, Senator Stone is being recognized “for his outstanding support of the notable challenges facing services for Californians with disabilities. He has been a leader and has championed the need for a rate increase and has developed creative solutions on how to fund it. Senator Stone has provided legislative support through bills and other means for the ongoing support of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and this honor is a well-deserved gesture of appreciation for his many years or unwavering dedication to the advancement of ALL Californians.”
