Hemet Man Found Shot to Death Inside Car in San Bernardino

HEMET – A gunman shot a Hemet man to death inside his car, which was found near a warehouse on a remote stretch of road in San Bernardino, police said today.

Officers received a call at 7:54 p.m. Friday about suspicious circumstances involving the car parked in the 3100 block of Cajon Boulevard. They found the victim, identified as James Lee Dempsey, 51, with several gunshot wounds to his upper body in the driver’s seat, San Bernardino police Lt. Travis Walker said.

No one has been arrested and the investigation was ongoing, Walker said.
