Sheriff’s deputies arrested three suspected drunken drivers at an overnight checkpoint in Jurupa Valley, a sergeant said
Sheriff’s deputies screened 604 vehicles, starting about 7 p.m. Friday at Mission Boulevard and Daly Street and wrapping up about 3 a.m. Saturday.
Thirteen drivers were given sobriety tests, and three who failed were booked on suspicion of drunken driving, Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Jerome Porterfield said.
Fifteen citations were issued to unlicensed drivers, and one motorist was cited for driving with a suspended license, he said.
Ten drivers were ticketed for various vehicle code violations, and seven vehicles were towed and impounded, Porterfield said.
