Lake Elsinore convict arrested on charges relating to growing, selling marijuana

LAKE ELSINORE – A Lake Elsinore woman on electronic confinement at home for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol was arrested after Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies spotted a marijuana grow, about 20 pounds of processed pot and a stolen shotgun at her residence, a sheriff’s corporal said today.

The deputies were checking on Simona Gernay’s compliance with the Supervised Electronic Confinement Program Thursday at her home in the 16500 block of McPherson Avenue, said Riverside County Sheriff’s Corporal Robert Martinez Gernay, 49, was charged with operating an illegal marijuana grow, possession of marijuana for sales and possession of stolen property, Martinez said.

She is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday at the Murrietta Justice Center, according to sheriff’s inmate records.
