The checkpoint took place from 8:00 p.m. that evening until 2:00 a.m. in the morning of June 15. During that time police officials gave field sobriety tests to 14 people and determined that two of those people were driving under the influence, Sgt. J.P. Strang said.
Additionally, 10 Drivers were cited or arrested for operating a vehicle without a license or on a suspended one and eight vehicles were towed, according to Strang.
Strang added that the purpose of the checkpoint was to lower the number of DUI-related accidents and deaths.
