Police arrested a 36-year-old Jurupa Valley man for being under the influence of a controlled substance and for possession of methamphetamine among a number of other charges around 9:00 p.m. Thursday during a probation check of his residence in the 8600 block of Limonite Avenue.
Bruno Aguilar was being searched when officers located an undisclosed quantity of what they suspected to be methamphetamine in his back pocket, according to the a Riverside County Sheriff’s report.
The report also said Aguilar had a loaded semi-automatic handgun in a bag he was carrying; the handgun was reported stolen from an area of Los Angeles.
After officers searched Aguilar’s person, they extended their search to his residence where they found additional quantities of weapons and drugs, according to Sgt. Bill Davis.
“Additional suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, ammunition, and firearms were located at his residence,” said Davis. “Aguilar was arrested for being under the influence while in possession of a firearm, possession for sale of narcotics, possession of stolen property, felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, and a probation violation.”
Aguilar was booked at Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.
