A motorist already on probation for a prior DUI conviction was one of three motorists arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs during an overnight sobriety/driver’s license checkpoint in Perris, a police sergeant said today.
Also, one motorist was arrested on a felony arrest warrant and four motorists were arrested and cited for misdemeanor arrest warrants during the checkpoint on Ramona Expressway at Rider that began at 8 p.m. Friday and ended today at 2 a.m., said Perris police Sgt. J.P. Strang.
Strang said 14 drivers were arrested or cited for operating vehicles unlicensed and 11 drivers were cited or arrested for operating vehicles on suspended or revoked licenses. Eighteen vehicles were stored or impounded.
