Sobriety checkpoint in Temecula leads to three arrests, seven vehicles towed

TEMECULA (CNS) – Seven vehicles were towed and three people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at a sobriety and driver license checkpoint in Temecula , a police sergeant said today.

The checkpoint at Winchester and Nicolas roads ran from 9 p.m. Friday through 3 a.m. today, said Temecula police Sgt. John Magnan.

A total of 2,960 vehicles were screened. Twenty motorists were given field sobriety tests and four unlicensed drivers were cited, Magnan said. One misdemeanor warrant was also served.
