What is believed to be an alcohol induced boating accident left multiple injured victims about 30 miles north of the city of Blythe, California according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s office.
On Saturday, March 12 at just before 5:30 p.m., witnesses reported a boat traveling at a high rate of speed. It failed to negotiate a turn and collided with the shoreline.
“Multiple people were transported to several hospitals with varying degrees of injuries,” Riverside County Sheriff’s Sergeant Daniel Hinderliter said.
