The San Diego County Sheriff’s Dept. has reported that a suspect sought in a domestic violence case was located and arrested in Menifee.
Juan Gonzalez was arrested in connection with an incident that occurred on Sun., Aug. 17 in the 1400 block of Foothill Drive in Vista (North San Diego County).
“On Tues., Aug. 19, at about 7 a.m., detectives from the Vista Sheriff’s Station and the Sheriff’s Fugitive Task Force arrested suspect Juan Gonzalez in Menifee,” said Sheriff’s Sgt. Tom Ness. “Gonzalez was the suspect in a domestic violence case on Sun., Aug. 17 where he allegedly stabbed his wife and left the scene with his two children, ages one and three. Ness said that detectives also located the children at the same address in Menifee.
“Both children were in good health, taken into protective custody and transported to the Polinsky Center in San Diego,” said Ness.
An investigation at the Menifee location revealed evidence related to the crime that occurred on Sunday. Gonzalez was
booked into the Vista Detention Faclity for assault with a deadly weapon, felony spousal abuse, and felony criminal threats.
