Three men accused of invasion, assault and robbery behind bars

MORENO VALLEY – Three men who allegedly invaded a Moreno Valley home, bound two women inside with duct tape, kicked and pistol-whipped them and stole money and jewelry, were behind bars today, a sheriff’s sergeant said.

Angelo Demetric Will, 22, Rashaun Tuff, 21, and Dwyane Matthews, 18, all of Moreno Valley, allegedly were involved in a home-invasion robbery Wednesday afternoon at a residence in the 12500 block of Hackberry Lane, said Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Jaime Briones.

Arriving deputies encountered two upset women who said two masked gunmen forced their way into the house around 4 p.m., tied them up and beat them while stealing money and jewelry, Briones said.

A third man remained behind in a vehicle, Briones said.

The women did not need to be hospitalized, he added.

The three suspects were arrested about 1 p.m. Thursday in the 24500 block of Sunnymead Boulevard, where jewelry and money were recovered, as well as weapons allegedly used in the robbery, Briones said.

Will and Tuff were booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on suspicion of robbery, kidnapping, burglary and conspiracy, with a gang enhancement, and more charges were pending, Briones said.

Matthews was also booked, but his booking charges were not immediately available.

Anyone with information on the home-invasion robbery was asked to call the Moreno Valley police Robbery Suppression Team at (951) 247-8700.
