Three suspected drunken drivers were among several people arrested during a drunken driving crackdown by sheriff’ deputies that ended today in Menifee.
Sheriff’s deputies began their concentrated watch for drunken drivers at 8 p.m. Friday. They ended it at 3 a.m., the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Fifty-four vehicles were stopped and 12 drivers took field sobriety tests. Three drivers flunked the test for alcohol and were arrested, sheriff’s authorities said.
One motorist was arrested for possessing methamphetamine and a second driver was arrested for a domestic violence warrant. Four drivers were cited for driving on a suspended license, according to the sheriff’s department.
